A Curious Obsession

“I thought if you told people facts, they'd draw their conclusions, and because the facts were true, the conclusions mostly would be too. But we don't run on facts. We run on stories about things. About people.”
― James S.A. Corey, , Babylon’s Ashes

About

Hi! I’m a Ph.D. Candidate in the Group in Logic and the Methodology of Science at the University of California, Berkeley. I work in Model Theory (not the models you are thinking about, unless you know about the Henkin Construction), and Recursion Theory. My advisor is Thomas W. Scanlon.

Academic Projects

These days I’m working in questions around the Stable Forking Conjecture. If I get any results—or non-results—work writing up, you will find them somewhere in this website. You might also find some blog posts about topics I like, which might serve as poor man’s lecture notes for those wanting to learn something about those topics.

Other Interests

“The Expanse” books and TV series by James S.A. Corey took over my life in 2021, and helped me survive the second year of the pandemic. I also regularly DM a game of Dungeons and Dragons, and now The Expanse TTRPG, for a group of college friends, which is one of my main creative outlets. I am a big fan of JRPGs—and in general of a good story—, and my favorite genre of music is probably videogame soundtracks. Anything worth sharing about my geek life will also show up over here if anywhere.
